Scope and Content Granary, former Blairgowrie Railway Station, Blairgowrie, Perthshire This station was opened in 1855 as the terminus of a branch from Coupar Angus of the Scottish Midland Junction Railway. This granary appears to have been provided at the start for the grain trade of the area. This view shows the interior with timber floors supported on timber pillars. This station was closed to passengers in 1955, and to freight in 1965, a victim of the Beeching cuts. The granary was still in use as such at the time of this 1974 photograph.
