Date 8/4/1974

Collection Papers of Professor John R Hume, economic and industrial historian, Glasgow, Scotland

Catalogue Number SC 427534

Category On-line Digital Images

Scope and Content Former Rhymer's Mill (corn), Mill Road, Earlston, Berwickshire This building was constructed as a corn mill by C & M Whale, and converted in the mid 20th century into an agricultural engineer's workshop. In this view the 1842 mill sits behind the mid-20th century single-storey, asbestos roofed extension. The projecting skew towards the left end of the roof shows where the corn-drying kiln was, at the left end of the building. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
