Scope and Content Ettrick Mill, Dunsdale Road, Selkirk, Selkirkshire This was built as a spinning mill, but later developed into an integrated tweed mill. This view shows the central section of the main U-plan range. The use of Venetian windows in the central bay is unique in a Scottish wool textile mill and a link with early Scottish cotton mill design. This mill was built before the railway reached Selkirk It was the largest and one of the finest of the Borders textile mills.. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
