Scope and Content Ettrick Mill, Dunsdale Road, Selkirk, Selkirkshire This was built as a spinning mill, but later developed into an integrated tweed mill. This view shows the railway side of the mill, The very large octagonal brick chimney is notable. The back of the main range is between the chimneys. The left-hand chimney belongs to St Mary's Mill. This mill was built before the railway reached Selkirk. It was the largest and one of the finest of the Borders textile mills. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
