Scope and Content Bunnahabhainn Distillery, Islay, Argyll Bunnahabhainn was built in 1881 and is a fine example of a purpose-built distillery, designed for maximum efficiency. Like the other Islay distilleries, Bunnahabhainn is sited next to the sea for direct access to water-transport. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
