Scope and Content Fitting-out basin at Lamont & Co's Castle Yard, Port Glasgow, with the vehicle ferry 'Portree' Lamont & Co were shipbuilders and ship repairers. The ferry is typical of the vessels repaired latterly in the Castle Yard. This view shows the basin used for fitting out new vessels, Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
