Scope and Content Titled: 'Interior of Douglas Room, Stirling Castle' Notes: 'In the "Douglas Room" of Stirling Castle are the remains of a pulpit in which Knox preached and held up the infant James Vl and proclaimed him King. Mary, Queen of Scots was also baptized from this pulpit and proclaimed Queen. Here James ll murdered Douglas because he would not give up his league with Ross and Crawford and his body was thrown out of a window in a secret chamber adjoining.' '...commerce in full swing and, I think, an extremely rare illustration of the tourist world.' (Ian Gow) PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM NO. 103: THE DOUGLAS ROOM ALBUM
