Scope and Content Tollhouse at south end of Hyndford Bridge, Lanarkshire This was built for collecting tolls for the use of Hyndford Bridge, to pay for the cost of its construction A single storey stone-built cottage, slate-roofed, with a later timber porch. It faces the south end of the bridge. Hyndford Bridge is a four span stone arch bridge carrying the A73 road across the River Clyde. It was designed by Alexander Stevens, and opened in 1773.
