Scope and Content Dark green half leather album with hard cover and 27 card pages secured with linen. Inside front cover inscribed 'C M Turnbull, October 1907'. Mostly family snapshots of people and places also found in the other Turnbull albums. These pictures date from 1901-1913. Several are of Stanbridge Earls, Romsey - the house on which the doll's house in the Museum of Childhood in Edinburgh was modelled at about this time. Others are of Broxwood Court, Herefordshire, now demolished. Charming family groups include members of the Hansard, Kindersley and Turnbull families; Grace Hudson 1905; Miss Laing; Stuart, uniformed in an army tent and also ready to start for King Edward VII's funeral parade; Ugo playing the pipes; the back garden of 2 Corrennie Gardens 1906; Miss Wilson and Miss Hutchins with bicycles; Place of Bonhill; four Ross children; CMT at Aikenshaw; Vera Bannerman and Sheila 1913, and Marjorie and Robertson 1904. Later photographs found loose in the album show David CD Baird Smith aged 10 and Robin Jameson Baird Smith aged 2, with their mother, Jean Baird Smith 1949.
