Scope and Content Gleann Mor, Hirta, St Kilda Gleann Mor is a glen on the north side of Hirta, the main island of the St Kilda chain. A pasture since ancient times, it is scattered with the remains of dwellings said to date from the Iron Age, but probably originating from no later than about 1600.
