Scope and Content Window, Poyntzfield, near Jemimaville, Highland Poyntzfield was built in 1757 for Sir George Gun Munro and named after his wife, Charlotte Poyntz. It was extended in 1790. Though this ventilation slit resembles an medieval arrow-loop, its narrow width would have been for security rather than any defensive purpose. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
