Scope and Content Academy Street frontage of Rose Street Foundry Office, 96-104 Academy Street, Inverness, Highland Rose Street Foundry Office was built in 1893 to plans by Ross and MacBeth. The building is remarkable because mosaics above the first-floor windows depict foundrymen at work. The first- and second-floor windows are bracketed by flattened pillars of pilasters. These are topped by large arches. All but one of the spaces, or tympana, under the arches are filled by mosaics. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
