Scope and Content Old High Church, Church Street, Inverness Old High Church consists of a tower, possibly of a 16th-century date, with a main block built in 1769-72 to designs by George Fraser, Depute Auditor of Excise in Edinburgh, based on Buccleuch Church in Edinburgh. The balustrade at the top of the tower may date from repairs of 1649. The octagonal spire is covered with lead. The vestry (right) was added in 1899 by W L Carruthers.
