Scope and Content Salt press, central fireplace, first-floor hall, Bay House, 1 Panha', Dysart, Fife Bay House was built in 1583 for Patrick Sinclair during the time when there was still a pier on Panha'. It was restored in 1969 by The National Trust for Scotland. The niche in the right-hand side of the fireplace is a salt press for drying salt. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
