Scope and Content Settlement at White Law, Scottish Borders Situated on the end of the spur that projects north west from White Law are the well preserved remains of a prehistoric defended settlement. The settlement at White Law lies in a natural hollow and is enclosed by a single bank. The entrance is to the left. The remains of at least seven houses can be clearly seen within the interior. This is an excellent example of aerial photography using low light and shadows to highlight archaeological remains. Different effects can be achieved by varying the angle of photography, as well as the time of day or year. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
