Scope and Content Token equipment, Inverkeithing Central Signal Box, Inverkeithing Station, Inverkeithing, Fife Inverkeithing Station was rebuilt in 1890 as a two-platform through-station. Most of it was replaced by modern structures in the late 20th century. This token equipment was photographed in Inverkeithing Central Signal Box. Tokens were used to ensure that only one train at a time ran on single-line tracks. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
