Scope and Content Cairn at Ninewells, Perth and Kinross This unusual cairn, which is situated in woodland to the east of Dunkeld, consists of a low stony mound set on an earthen platform. This view is taken from the north and shows the cairn surrounded by a boulder kerb, the stones of which have been graded in size with the largest on the south-west. One of the kerb stones on the west bears four cupmarks. Although most Bronze Age cairns are pudding-basin shaped, this cairn belongs to a group of relatively low, inconspicuous mounds.
