Scope and Content Fort, known as King's Seat, Dunkeld, Perth and Kinross This fort is situated at the top of King's Seat, a craggy knoll overlooking the east bank of the River Tay near Dunkeld. It comprised a citadel, which occupied the summit itself, and a series of ramparts on the lower terraces. This is a view of the remains of the fort. The hill has been planted with trees and the summit area is heavily overgrown. Some of the earthworks may not belong to the fort itself but to landscaping features within the grounds of Dunkeld House. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
