Scope and Content Green cloth-covered hard-backed album, the front ornamented with gold and inscribed 'ALBUM', the back labelled inside 'M.W. & Co., No.6815, London', containing 27 pages (many unstuck). The first 8 pages are used for Scottish buildings in the 1860's including views of Minto House; Melville Castle with figures; Kinfauns Castle; Scone Palace; the Border Abbeys; Yannaton, Dartmoor; scenes in Germany and battlefields at Nouilly, 14 August 1870, St Privet, St Hubert near Gravelotte and the farm there, 18 August 1870. There are also scenes of crowded streets in Hawick during the Princess's visit.
