Catalogue Number SC 390470

Copy of B 1286

Scope and Content Dalmunzie, fermtoun, Perth and Kinross The remains of the fermtoun of Dalmunzie lie beside Dalmunzie Golf Course, on the south bank of the Glen Lochsie Burn. The fermtoun comprises at least eleven buildings, together with associated enclosures, yards and a kiln. Reduced to turf-covered wall-footings, some buildings can be seen in the centre of this photograph. Although identified through archaeological field-survey, there is documentary evidence for Dalmunzie in 1543. It is depicted as ruinous on Stobie's map of 1783. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
