Scope and Content Alyth, Old Parish Church, Perth and Kinross The old parish church of Alyth stood close to the centre of the old town. Dedicated to St Moluag, it was largely demolished in the mid-19th century, although a part of the church survives in the graveyard. Built into the wall of the graveyard is a skewput with an armorial escutcheon and a lintel bearing the date 1629. The surviving remains would suggest that the old parish church had a square-ended choir, a nave and aisles of three bays, and a north aisle chapel and sacristy. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
