Scope and Content Water-trough in covered cattle-courts, north west side of courtyard of main steading, Edenwood Steading, Fife Edenwood Steading was begun before 1854 as the home farm of the nearby Edenwood House. Over the next century the complex expanded as various new buildings were added. This water-trough stands in a blocked doorway. The water-level is controlled by a ball-cock system similar to the kind used in domestic plumbing. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
