Scope and Content Pre-restoration (1937) view of 443-449 Sailor's Walk, Kirkcaldy, Fife 443-449 Sailor's Walk was built in the 17th century as two houses, each of T-shaped plan. They were extensively repaired in 1954-9 under National Trust ownership. Seen before they were given identical coats of white harling, the two houses (right of centre) are quite clearly separate buildings, the south (left) with projecting upper floors, and the north (right) with a flat gable.
