Scope and Content Compass Hill and the east end of Canna from Coroghon Castle Coroghon Castle stands on top of a stack at the south-east end of the cliffs that form the east end of Canna. The stack juts out into the sea, and is accessible only by a steep path which ascends a narrow neck of land connecting it to the mainland. View looking north along the cliffs. A survey of Canna and Sanday was undertaken by the Royal Commission to record all the archaeological sites and monuments and the landscape within which they lie. This landscape is published as RCAHMS Broadsheet 5. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
