Scope and Content The Ark, The Cross, Culross, Fife The Ark probably dates from the 17th century and is said at some time to have served as a seaman's hostel. By the 1930s it was a 'mere shell'. However, it has since been restored and painted. This pre-restoration photograph shows the corner of The Ark from The Cross. Mid Causeway runs off to the right, whilst to the left is Little Causeway.
