Scope and Content Bishop Leighton's House, Mid Causeway, Culross, Fife Bishop Leighton's House was built in the early 17th century and contains woodwork from about 1700. It is said to have been occupied by Bishop Leighton of Dunblane when he visited the burgh, although he is also associated with the nearby 'Study'. The crow-stepped gable of the house is typical of the early 17th century. The adjacent buildings date from the same period and may have been included in the original complex.
