Scope and Content Logboat from the River Clyde at Rutherglen Bridge, City of Glasgow The logboat (otherwise known as a 'dugout' or 'canoe') is a simple and 'primitive' boat, but this does not imply that it is necessarily early, most examples recovered being medieval or later in date. This small and simple logboat was found in the River Clyde before 1880. Its remains are in Glasgow Art Gallery and Museum. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
