Scope and Content Plans of High Mill near Carluke, Lanarkshire High Mill, a typical windmill-tower with attached buildings, was built as a grain-mill in 1797. It was converted to steam-power in the middle of the 19th-century and later made use of a gas-engine. Nothing survives of the rotating cap or the sails. These plans show the mill's structure, as well as its position in the farm. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
