Scope and Content Drawing of ceiling grille inside dairy at Guisachan, Tomich, Highland The ornamental dairy at Guisachan in Tomich was probably built around 1870 during the time the Guisachan estate belonged to Dudley Marjoribanks, afterwards Baron Tweedmouth of Edington. The ceiling grille leads up to the flêche ventilator on the roof which helps to keep the milk-room cool. Air circulates from the wire gauze above the main door, around the dairy, through the grille and out through the ventilator. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
