Scope and Content Reconstructed plans and drawings of Bruichladdich Distillery, Islay, Argyll Bruichladdich Distillery was built in the 1880s. It is a good example of a distillery in one go to a carefully thought out plan. The main parts of the complex were: malt barns for germination (b, c); a kiln for drying green malt (e); a mill room (g); a mash house for extracting wort (j); a tun room for fermentation (k); and a still house for distillation (l).
