Scope and Content Cross-slab from St Peter's Church, Invergowrie, Angus This cross-slab is one of two stones which were first recorded built into the wall of the ruined church at Invergowrie. They were built, one above the other, into an empty window opening. They are now in the Royal Museum of Scotland. This is a drawing of the stone which appeared in John Stuart's 1856 publication 'The Sculptured Stones of Scotland'. The stone is incomplete, but the ring-headed cross has finely carved interlace decoration. Below are the remains of some beast. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
