Scope and Content Fort known as Kemp's Walk at Larbrax, Dumfries and Galloway Kemp's Walk is situated on a promontory overlooking Broadsea Bay. It is both the largest and best preserved promontory fort in the W of Galloway. It can only be approached from the northern side. This is an aerial view of the site. The approach is defended by triple ramparts with ditches. To the E these become double ramparts. A further rampart may have run round the promontory but no evidence remains. A hut circle was found inside. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
