Scope and Content Cairn known as the Nether Cairn, North Muir, Scottish Borders The Nether Cairn is the best preserved of around nine cairns on the SE slope of North Muir. The cairns are part of a chain of monuments that marks the route from the Forth to the Clyde, This is a view of the cairn. Its round shape is obvious and it still stands 3.7 m high. About 1 m away from the base are the remains of what appears to be a surrounding ditch about 1.8 m wide. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
