Scope and Content Possible henge monument at Blackness, West Lothian The ditch of this possible henge was discovered as a cropmark on oblique aerial photographs. The ditch is broad and is interrupted by an entrance causeway which opens to the E. This is an aerial photograph of the henge and was taken from the SW. The ditch of the henge is visible as a dark penannular ring at the bend in the road. A dark mark can be seen between the ditch terminals. This possible henge monument has been levelled by ploughing and is situated in the corner of a field on the S side of a public road. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
