Scope and Content Broch at Rhiroy, Ross and Cromarty, Highland The broch at Rhiroy stands on a hilltop overlooking the south-west side of Loch Broom. Much of the wall has fallen down, and a modern sheep pen has been built against it. The broch has been excavated and the finds are in the Huntarian Museum in Glasgow. This view shows the outside wall of the broch. It is neatly faced, showing the skills possessed by the builders of such structures. Many of the internal features have been blocked up in order to preserve the remains. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
