Scope and Content Possible henge monument at Baddan, Sutherland, Highland The ditches of this possible henge were discovered as cropmarks on an oblique aerial photograph taken in 1977. The ditch on the W side is banana-shaped and quite broad, but only the S end of its partner is visible. It has two opposing entrances. The ditches of the possible henge are visible as dark lines in the centre of this aerial photograph. A row of at least five pits can be followed as small black dots running towards and through the NW entrance. Further pits are visible outside. This possible henge has been levelled by ploughing and is situated in a flat field close to the shore of Loch Fleet and to the south of Mound Rock. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
