Scope and Content Henge monument at Normangill, South Lanarkshire This henge is defined by a pair of curving ditches with external banks. It has two broad opposing entrances which open to the NW and SE. The interior is featureless. This is an aerial view of the henge. The curving ditches of the henge are filled with reeds and this change in vegetation contrasts quite clearly with the surrounding grassland. This henge survives as an earthwork and is situated on a terrace overlooking the Camps Water. A public road runs through it and a sheepfold overlies the S end of the W bank.
