Scope and Content Symbol stone known as Aberlemno 3 at Aberlemno, Angus Aberlemno 3 stands at the side of the road but it may be moved to help preserve it. It is carved on both sides with a relief cross on the W face and symbols on the E. This is a drawing of the stone which appeared in John Stuart's 1856 publication 'The Sculptured Stones of Scotland'. At the top is a crescent and V-rod over a double-disc and Z-rod. Under these is a hunting scene, David and the lion and a centaur. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
