Scope and Content Symbol stone known as Aberlemno 2 at Aberlemno, Angus Aberlemno 2 stands in the churchyard where it was originally found. Both faces are covered with relief carving. One side has a cross slab and the other shows a battle scene. This is a drawing of the stone which appeared in John Stuart's 1856 publication 'The Sculptured Stones of Scotland'. It shows the W face which has a cross carved in high-relief. It is decorated with interlace, keywork and entwined animals. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
