Scope and Content Cross-slab from Woodrae, Angus This stone was originally found built into the floor of the kitchen at Woodray Castle. The castle has now been demolished and the stone is on display at the Royal Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. This is a drawing of the stone which appeared in John Stuart's 1856 publication 'The Sculptured Stones of Scotland'. This face was carved with a cross set in a border of interlace and surrounded by various animals. The cross itself has been removed. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
