Scope and Content Cross-slab at Eassie Churchyard, Angus The stone now stands within the ruins of Eassie Church and was originally found in the nearby burn. It has a cross carved on one side and symbols on the other. The back is now rather weathered. This is a drawing of the stone which appeared in John Stuart's 1856 publication 'The Sculptured Stones of Scotland'. At the top is a Pictish Beast and a double-disc and Z-rod. Below are four figures and cows. There is a second Pictish Beast and an arch. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
