Scope and Content Bunks inside sleeping-quarters of salmon-bothy at Dunbeath, Highland The salmon-bothy at Dunbeath is part of the herring- and salmon-fishing station which developed in stages around the mouth of the Dunbeath Water from the early 19th century onwards. The sleeping quarters holds four wooden bunks for the crew, as well as a bunk and office for the foreman. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
