Scope and Content Symbol stone at Broomend of Crichie, Aberdeenshire This stone stands at the centre of a henge about one mile S of Inverurie. It was originally found to the E of its present location. The symbols are carved on the S face. This is a drawing of the stone which appeared in John Stuart's 1856 publication 'The Sculptured Stones of Scotland'. The symbols are a Pictish Beast, which is carved over a crescent and V-rod.
