Scope and Content Early view of Bruichladdich Distillery, Islay, Argyll Bruichladdich Distillery was built in the 1880s. It is a good example of a distillery constructed in one phase to a carefully conceived plan. This early view shows the distillery's seaward side. The pyramid-roofed building in the centre is the malt-kiln. The corner-building with the similar roof (left) is the mash-house. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
