Scope and Content Broch at Dun Troddan, Glenelg, Highland Dun Troddan is built on a terrace on the side of a hill. It is one of the best preserved brochs with one third of the wall still standing to over 7 m high. This plan of Dun Trodden shows a partly roofed cell leading off the entrance passage and a further cell with a set of steps. There are also the remains of mural galleries. Excavations in 1920 revealed the location of the postholes for the wooden posts which would have supported internal structures. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
