Scope and Content Cairn at Auchagallon, Arran The cairn is on Auchagallon farm and is sometimes referred to as a stone circle. It is more likely to be a local style of cairn and now appears as a low mound of stones surrounded by an incomplete kerb of boulders. This is a close up view of kerb. The stones are arranged with the five largest stones lying to the W and the smaller stone to the E. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
