Scope and Content Fort at Tollis Hill, Lauder, Scottish Borders The Tollis Hill fort is formed by an almost perfect circular enclosure. The surrounding area is ideal for both grazing and arable use. The fort contained a number of hut circles and what may be sheep pens. This is an aerial view of the fort. The circular enclosure is formed by two ramparts with a ditch between them. The entrance is on the W side. Traces of the hut-circles inside the fort can also be seen in this image. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
