Scope and Content Fort at Arbory Hill, South Lanarkshire The fort on Arbory Hill is well preserved. This is due in part to its rather isolated position. The fort had at least two building phases and there is a nearby field system. This plan shows the layout of the site. Two roughly concentric ramparts with outer ditches and five entrances form the first fort. The later fort was built inside these and consists of a wall with two entrances. Both phases have a number of hut circles. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
