Scope and Content Fort at East Lomond Hill, Fife The fort on East Lomond Hill is built on the summit and on a lower terrace to the north. It is well placed and offers extensive views of the surrounding area. A Pictish carving of a bull, found around 1920, is now in the Royal Museum of Scotland. The summit is protected by two ramparts, the inner one surviving best to the NW. A single rampart protects the terrace and is best seen to the NE. There is a Bronze Age cairn,13 m diameter, within the fort. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
