Scope and Content Symbol stone known as Aberlemno 2 at Aberlemno, Angus Aberlemno 2 stands in the churchyard where it was originally found. Both faces are covered with relief carving. One side has a cross slab and the other shows a battle scene. This is a view of the W face. The cross is carved in very high relief and stands up to 12 cm out from the slab. It is decorated with interlace, keywork and entwined animals. The centre is filled with a whorl design and a ring of glory lies behind it. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
